Installed this for peace of mind. I bought a used 2018 Ruckus and other videos always say this boot almost always cracks over time. My bike had 5k miles on it when I bought it. I also bought a stage 2 kit from TRS so since I was already taking off the carb to clean + rejet I figured might as well put a new boot on. At first glance my oem boot looked fine…so I left it on and kept the new one I bought here for a rainy day. At first test drive I noticed some performance loss even after the stage 2 kit. I went back and cleaned the carb inside and out since I was having a fuel issue with bike shutting off when I give the slightest throttle increase. When I took the carb back off I noticed the inside of the bootwas flaking and was cracked! I must have missed the crack first time. So, I installed the new boot after all after a good clean and had no problems after that! Once again, my rule of doing it all the way or not at all proves it self correct once again. Don’t go cheap when it comes to performance mods!
